A list of proven strategies that will help you achieve your goal of PR by securing state sponsorship.

If you follow these tips, you will win your goal of state sponsorship with ease.

First tip: get a job in a regional area

Try to get a job in your nominated occupation in the regional area of your state. We have people asking again and again, which state is best. Our answer is in any state, where you can get a job in the regional area.

Here is a list of recently open state sponsorship requirements:

SA working and living in a regional area.

NSW must be working and living in NSW

Your question, will it work.

Well, even if it didn’t, you have not lost anything right.

Second tip: move to regional postcode

Move to a regional area. Many people live in outer Melbourne suburbs such as Berwick, Wyndhamvale, Epping Ringwood, etc.

If you analyse then you can see that the regional area is not far off from these suburbs. By moving a few km out of your current house address, can boost your prospects of securing state sponsorship.

Also, if you have relatives such as brother, sister, first cousin. You can request them to move them with you.

Because if they do then you can claim 15 points under the 491 family stream option.

It has seen recently, cut off for 491 family stream visas was less than those of 189.

So don’t lose your chance.

Don’t take chance, do the right thing by actually making the move.

Third tip: do proper research

Do your proper research, new rules may not be out yet. However, always research or ask about their previous rules. This will gives an idea of what to expect from them in the future.

You should have a proper plan for at least 6 months to 2 years with a backup plan. So that if one thing does not work then you can rely on the second option.

For example, if you move to SA, then you should get a job in your nominated occupation and/ or enroll in some similar course of study.

Most states prefer local graduates. So, if there are two candidates with the same score then a local graduate student has higher chance of success.

Another example,

There was a 491 pathway under the business stream for both QLD and TAS. However, QLD was way more difficult to achieve than TAS.

List of requirements to secure QLD sponsorship under business stream:

1. full-time work rights,

2. PR employees, new business and

3. minimum investment, etc.

On the other side, for TAS some types of businesses were not included other than that you have to show that you can earn minimum threshold income from that business. Thus, it could have been a lot easier to move to TAS than QLD.

So don’t lose the chance and wait for the guidelines or new rules to out as it will take at least 12 months to become a local graduate.
