Residency requirements may not apply if you:- Are under 16 years old.
- Were born to a former Australian citizen who lost their citizenship before April 4, 2002.
- Were born in Papua before September 16, 1975, with an Australian citizen parent.
- Character Requirement
Applicants aged 18 years or older must be of good character, including:- No significant criminal history.
- Upholding and obeying Australian laws.
- Knowledge of Australia

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to living in Australia or maintaining strong ties, such as:- Having family members who are Australian citizens.
